Tryout Information
Please see our Team Tryout page for complete information on dates and form requirements to tryout for Battlefield Swim and Battlefield Dive Team.

Swim tryouts will be held from Monday, November 11 –  Thursday, November 14. Dive tryouts will be held from Tuesday, November 12 through Monday, November 18.

Please note important deadlines to tryout for our 2024-2025 team!

BHS Girls Win 2024 Region 6B Meet
Congratulations to our Battlefield swimmers who competed at the Virginia Regional Meet on February 5, 2024.  The girls won first place at Regionals and the boys team took second. Outstanding results by our Battlefield swimmers!

Girls Team Win 6B Region, Boys Finish Fourth

BHS Girls Team are 2023 Regional Champions! Congratulations to the Battlefield High School girls swim and dive team for coming in First Place in the 2023 6B Regional Championship Meet. What a tremendous season! We also wish to congratulate the members of the Battlefield Swim & Dive boys team for a strong fourth place finish at the 2023 Regional meet.

BHS Girls Win Cedar Run District

The Battlefield Girls Swim & Dive Team came in first place in the 2022 Cedar Run District meet. With consistently fast swims and impressive record-breakers, the BHS girls team beat Patriot High School scoring 576.50 points vs. 525 points.

Coaching Staff

Head Coach Jay Thorpe
Coach Jay is in his fifteenth season as Head Coach of the Battlefield Swim & Dive Teams. He is looking forward to another great year at Battlefield.
