Swim Tryouts: 2023-2024
Beginning November 6 – Start time 7:30 @ Freedom Center
Important – At tryouts we need several parents to volunteer to time.
Note: We try to accommodate year-round swimmers by giving them the option to compete in all four events in one evening. However, this needs to be approved by the coaches prior to tryouts.
Dive Team Tryouts – 2023-2024
General Tryout Information
Before try-outs, you will need to take your current VHSL Physical Form and your concussion training form to Mrs. Nelson (Athletic Trainer) after school and she will give you a yellow form to bring with you to try-outs. You will not be permitted to tryout for a team without completing both forms and turning them into Mrs. Nelson and providing the yellow form from Mrs. Nelson at tryouts. Also, it is highly recommended that you turn your forms in well in advance of tryouts.
Team Selection
It is highly recommended that you be in shape for tryouts. Only tryout times are counted for selection. No previous high school, summer league, or club times can be used. Coaches need to know about meet conflicts before try-outs.
Registration
After the selection of team members for the 2023-2024, you can complete the BHS Swim & Dive Online Registration Form.
Seniors
IMPACT Training – Once rosters have been finalized, swimmers and divers will be required to attend additional baseline testing as part of the concussion protocol. That date has not yet been set, but swimmers and divers will need to make arrangements to attend this testing.

Battlefield High School had three divers compete in the 2022 District Championship Dive Meet. Congratulations to all three of our divers on advancing to the Regional Championship!
Congratulations to the Battlefield Boys state team who competed in the VHSL Class 6 state championship on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. This meet had originally been planned for earlier in the month, but weather conditions resulted in it being rescheduled. The boys persevered through a challenging season and dropped time in their events as they represented Battlefield.
Congratulations to our 2021 Boys State Team:
Huge congratulations to Brendan Boxall and Juliana Robertson. This marks the first year that Battlefield had a male and a female diver that scored points at States! Even more remarkable, both are first year divers during a shortened season with fewer meets and practices. Additionally, tryouts for the dive team didn’t complete until January due to the team being quarantined. Despite all these obstacles, our dive team accomplished something no other Battlefield team has.
